Came across this newspaper article today :

Disney is refunding money to parents in US who bought Baby Einstein DVDs with a premise to make their babies 'little Einstein' but were disappointed with the results .
What I really do not understand is why parents are so much after making their child genius and know all wizards at such a small age.
I do understand babies need a stimulating atmosphere for their better development. But with one research coming and other one rebutting its claims how much can you believe to be true and how far will you go to 'stimulate the minds' of your little ones.

I'm with you on this one, for sure!
seems some parents think these arent kids.. but some means to fulfill and achieve what they couldnt... !! sigh..
ojas has a couple of these CD's, the point is not that we want them to become Einstein but they are actually very stimulating and entertaining, they are some of the CD's of Ojas
yes, sometimes parents harbour stupidifying expectations of their children
@Gaelika :yeah it looked too much pressure directly or indirectly
@Hitchy : Very well said hitchy
@Monika : I hope everybody thinks the same way Monika as you think, though sometimes I feel we force them for the entertainment which we feel is the best.
@Deeps: thats precisely the point, Are we putting in too much of expectation already?
