JanaamVaar (Birthday --Hindi Calender)

We generally celebrate 2 birthdays according to our customs ..one is according to Hindu calender and another is by English calender....Akshaj's birthday according to Hindu calender was on 15th July...
It started with little pooja followed by Haldi ceremony (Haldi mixed with til) for him....then he had his bath ..after which was followed by a pooja --we have "markandeya pooja" for birthday..was was heartening to see was he sat through 1.5 pooja without unease.. here are some of the fond memories..

he was totally engrossed in pooja and was seeing it carefully...he even took active part by ringing the bell ..(he loves mandir and pooja anyway..anytime he hears ringing of bells in pooja he will go there running and takes the bell and rings it himself) he even danced on aarati...

pooja over ..time for kalava ...and the prasadam...he got banana which he loves to eat ...he did get a little greedy as he took one with about half his size :-)taking blessings of dadu...finally some rest ...after so much of work one well well deserved one ..

Congratulations! Lovely post 7 photos. With four kids, we only celebrate one b/day each per year! It's enough!!

@Monika

Thanks

@gaelikaa

I love adding photos to blogs so that others who are far off relatives /friends keep tab on his progress ..
I can only imagine what it would be like with 4 kids ...8 birthdays looks just a little scary!!
