It just started from the moment I told Puneet lets get ready for the show.....Akshaj assumed he is coming with us(as we do not like leaving him home on weekends) ..and he also stated saying .."chalo chalo" ..and started searching his shoes..and then for next 30-45 minutes it just became worse.He just clinged to me like anything refusing to let go of me...and no amount of bribes worked.I actually tried each and everything for which he would choose over me without batting a eyelid on other occasions ....
First was the most obvious, his trip with his grandpa to park..which was flatly refused with "No babu ..Akku mama sath jayega"...so I lied my way that we are going to office and bring jelly for him ...I thought poor guy melted for 1 sec but then he clinged to me again. the came the bribe of going to local kinara shop with his grandpa to get choco for him....which he never refuses infact drags us there but no sir ..not this particular day he wouldn't budge ...and clock was just ticking and ticking ..we had to take the printouts and collect actual ticket from venue before our entry ...seeing no end to this Puneet said he will first get printouts and then come and get me ...and poor baby for a seconds assumed I am not going and was so happy to see his papa go alone ...smiling and saying "papa ja rahe hain "..poor papa didn't know to be happy or sad by this treatment ...
Anyway with Puneet out ,my scheming and plotting continued with computer playing his favorite songs and laptop playing rhymes in separate rooms with no results ...he even hid my mobile under bedsheet in between all this ...but cruel mama had her say....the week link found to be his new fascination of coloring diyas ...he loves coloring diyas these days ..so gave him colours and diyas ..and in no time I disappeared from the scene ...offcourse in another second I could hear him crying while I was waiting for the lift ...
This was by far the worst case of mother's guilt I have experienced ..but managed to get to see Bryan Adams live missing only 1-1.5 hour of the show thanks to Bangalore traffic and child woes..
Bryam Adams is rocking ..that guy just kept on singing and singing..we were sad that we would have missed some of his famous songs but we hadn't ...best moment of the show was when he asked somebody to come and sing along with him ...he told the song and said anybody who knows the lyrics to raise hands ..then this girl comes up and he asks her name and asks does he know the lyrics and she replies 'NO' ....total timepass it was ..offcourse she went off after meeting him up and close and next girl comes and does do a good job of singing with him....
We left somewhere close to 10 as we had to pick up of of Puneet's cousin and the man was still singing then...I guess this will be last live show for a long time ...not that I have seen many .
